Encounters with the Scriptures pt 20

Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord's hand double for all her sins. (Isaiah 40:2 KJV)

Yes we know that our God is the thrice Holy God and His eyes are purer than to behold iniquity. But is it the fear and the consequences of sin that draws us to God or our love for Him? It should rather be our love for Him and His love for us.

Another assignment given to the Prophet was to "cry unto her that her iniquity is pardoned" With the redemptive work of JESUS CHRIST for every believer, we should rather be righteousness conscious instead of being sin conscious.

The good news is that no matter our sins, the blood of JESUS has made adequate provision for our forgiveness atonement and pardon. Where sin abounds, grace much more abound. Those who are in conscious cannot but fall into it and those who are righteousness conscious cannot but be righteous.

There is forgiveness with God that people may fear Him. If He has pardoned you, it means you are truly pardoned. Therefore let's accept His pardon and forgive ourselves

Thank you Oh Lord for the atoning power of the blood of JESUS CHRIST. Please help us to forgive ourselves and live in the consciousness of your pardon in JESUS mighty name
